we're back! quick view of Cairo Egypt!

Getting the heck out of dodge! Yea, I have never been so happy to get back to Germany-

the sun setting over Cairo Tower. picture from the balcony-

the girls on the balcony!

view from the balcony of our room of the Nile River
obviously, The Sphinx

my husby on the camel

all the girls on the camel, Reagan is hiding behind McKenzie and Ella was nun-to-happy about being on a camel. I will have to say it was neat but not as "comfy" as riding a horse!!

another view of the backside of the Giza pyramids.

climbing on the pyramids! I didn't even know you could do this, I thought it was just "smooth" on the outside! You learn something new everyday-

in front of the first pyramid! You have to pay more, about $40 a piece to go in the Giza pyramids, which are the pyramids that eveyone knows, and they are empty inside so noone really goes inside these!

Olivia on the tour van! No car seats used there! She loved it. The driving is really crazy so everyone just hires a driver/tour guide which makes it so easy!!

At the "Step" Pyramids. These are actually the original pyramids that were built in Egypt!

Inside the "step" pyramid.

Well, we went to Cairo, had a great TWO days, of a 7 day vacation, then everyone got sick! and I mean sick! When you go to a "third-world", developing country, this is to be expected. But we got it bad! We were in the room for the rest of the time, minus a few trips to the Embassy Health Unit (thank God for them) b/c we couldn't get more than 5 feet away from the potty!!

One day I know we will look back and laugh but not yet! It hasn't been quite long enough for that. Chris and I lost a combined total of 12 LBS. we did get some great pic's though...

  2. Glad you got atleast a few days of fun and sightseeing down before you got sick. I am so sorry that you got sick too. It is not fun to be sick somewhere that isn't home. We've done our fair share of that too and it is miserable.
